Wednesday NFL game prediction, Sept. 9
New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks, 5:20 p.m., NBC (stream
with Peacock)
The Patriots would love to get a little revenge for their Super Bowl loss to the Seahawks. The problem is, Seattle is playing at home, where it has the 12th Man. Sam Darnold will do enough to lead the champions to a season-opening win.
Prediction: Seahawks 24, Patriots 21
Thursday Night Football prediction, Sept. 10
San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams (Melbourne, Australia), 5:35 p.m., Netflix
The Rams are the favorite to win the Super Bowl and could have an elite defense with Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett. The defense will make a big play or two to seal a big NFC West win in Week 1 against San Francisco.
Prediction: Rams 27, 49ers 23
Sunday early NFL game predictions, Sept. 13
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Bears are expecting Caleb Williams to make a big leap in Year 3. That could be scary news for the NFC and the Panthers after he had 27 touchdowns, seven interceptions and 3,942 yards passing in 2025.
Prediction: Bears 30, Panthers 20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cincinnati Bengals, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Some expect a much-improved season from the Bengals (they are 14th in Super Bowl odds). We need to see it first before we'll believe. Baker Mayfield can outduel Joe Burrow in Week 1.
Prediction: Buccaneers 24, Bengals 23
New Orleans Saints at Detroit Lions, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
This Lions team is kind of flying under the radar in preseason Super Bowl odds, but Jared Goff and company still have firepower on offense, as the Saints will find out.
Prediction: Lions 33, Saints 20
Buffalo Bills vs Houston Texans, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Could this be the game of the week? It had the smallest point spread in early odds, with the Bills favored by a point on the road at Houston. Josh Allen will deliver late.
Prediction: Bills 23, Texans 20
Baltimore Ravens vs Indianapolis Colts, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Is this the year Lamar Jackson finally leads the Ravens to the Super Bowl? The Ravens are once again among the preseason favorites to win the title. A healthy Daniel Jones is more than capable of upsetting Baltimore in Week 1.
Prediction: Colts 27, Ravens 24
Cleveland Browns vs Jacksonville Jaguars, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
How many times will the Jaguars' defense sack Deshaun Watson in this game? We're thinking Jacksonville's pressure will have a big impact in a big Week 1 win at home.
Prediction: Jaguars 28, Browns 17
Atlanta Falcons vs Pittsburgh Steelers, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Aaron Rodgers being reunited with Mike McCarthy is an intriguing storyline to follow in Pittsburgh. But it will be the Steelers' defense that makes the difference here.
Prediction: Steelers 21, Falcons 17
New York Jets vs Tennessee Titans, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
First one to 20 wins? This game has the lowest point total of the week, at just 39.5 points. Cam Ward and company eke out a win at home for the Titans.
Prediction: Titans 20, Jets 17
Sunday late NFL game predictions, Sept. 13
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Chargers, 1:25 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Mike LaFleur era begins with a tough test against the Chargers. Arizona is the biggest underdog of the week. Can the Cardinals just keep it close?
Prediction: Chargers 30, Cardinals 21
Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Both teams have new quarterbacks and a lot of the same old questions surrounding them. Kirk Cousins gets to throw to Brock Bowers, and that could be the difference for the Raiders.
Prediction: Raiders 23, Dolphins 17
Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Kyler Murray gets a fresh start in Minnesota, with a plethora of weapons. How much will he run in Minnesota? He'll run enough in Week 1 to help his team win at home against the Packers.
Prediction: Vikings 24, Packers 20
Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Jayden Daniels' return for Washington is obviously huge, but it won't be enough for the Commanders to upset the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
Prediction: Eagles 27, Commanders 21
Sunday Night Football prediction, Sept. 13
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants, 5:20 p.m., NBC (stream with Peacock)
The Cowboys are a 3-point road favorite in this game, but John Harbaugh will have his team ready in Week 1. Jaxson Dart will come up with some big plays to help the Giants get the upset win at home.
Prediction: Giants 30, Cowboys 27
Monday Night Football prediction, Sept. 14
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs, 5:15 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
Sean Payton holds a 7-4 coaching record against Andy Reid, but Reid has had an entire offseason to get ready for this game. This one could be very interesting.
Prediction: Chiefs 27, Broncos 24
