A pilot was hospitalized after a small plane crashed in an agricultural field in Yuma, according to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office received a report of a plane crash around 8:19 a.m. on Oct. 5 near County 12th Street and Avenue G, spokesperson Tania Pavlak shared on Facebook.
The pilot was the sole occupant and was found to be responsive inside the civilian single-engine two-passenger aircraft, Pavlak said.

Rural/Metro Fire Department arrived on scene and got the pilot out of the plane, according to Pavlak. The pilot had injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to the hospital in stable condition, Pavlak said.
The crash was under investigation, and the Sheriff's Office urged anyone with information to call 928-783-4427
or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous. Anonymous tips can also be submitted at www.yumacountysheriff.org.
The Federal Aviation Administration was also looking into the crash, a spokesperson told The Arizona Republic.
