Description: An upscale Mexican eatery will soon open its first U.S.-based location.
Quiriego Restaurant is coming to north Scottsdale, replacing the shuttered Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
With locations in Sonora and Baja California, the popular restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes and features an extensive menu of craft cocktails and baked treats.
When open, Quiriego’s new 8,500-square-foot location will continue to offer that same elevated Mexican cuisine it's boasted on social media.
History: Carrabba’s had occupied the building in north Scottsdale for years before closing in 2023.
The following
year, Quiriego submitted plans with the City of Scottsdale to update the existing space and got city planners’ approval in early 2025.
Quiriego began construction at the site earlier this year, announcing on Instagram in July that “something BIG is coming."
When will the work be done? Quiriego has not yet announced an official opening date for the restaurant. In early September, it told its Scottsdale followers on social media to “get ready” as the opening was coming soon.
