Cardinals rookie Wydett Williams is part of a group of NFL players who have been granted a restraining order, which would allow them to return for a fifth season of college football.
According to ESPN, Williams is one of 16 football players named in a lawsuit that was filed against the NCAA in Louisiana on Wednesday. He is one of three players in the suit currently on an NFL roster.
Williams, a safety, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent and is not expected to make the 53-man roster. At safety, the Cardinals also have Budda Baker, Andrew Wingard, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson and Kitan Crawford.
Williams has nine tackles in two preseason games.
