Location: 10050 N. Scottsdale Road, on the southwest corner of Gold Dust Avenue in Scottsdale and east of Chaparral High School.
Description: A new apartment and retail community will soon neighbor Scottsdale’s Shea Boulevard shopping corridor.
The multifamily housing developer High Street Residential is converting a former strip mall into a three-story mixed-use complex called Gold Dust Apartments.
It will directly neighbor the existing California Pizza Kitchen that is located in the same plaza.
When complete, Gold Dust will span nearly 5 acres to include 215 apartments and about 11,370 square feet of ground-floor commercial space along the east and north sides of the development.
The apartments will range from one- to two-bedroom units.
Residents
there will have access to an underground parking lot, as well as amenities like a pool and spa area, a yoga studio, a fitness center, private courtyards and co-working spaces.
High Street is also behind a similar mixed-use project just around the corner, on Shea Boulevard and 70th Street. There, it’s building nearly 200 apartments in a three-story building and 79,200 square feet of commercial space.
History: Scottsdale’s Planning Commission unanimously approved the zoning for the site in October 2022.
The following June, the city’s Development Review Board approved the project’s site plans.
In September 2023, High Street officially purchased the site for $15 million, according to real estate database Vizzda.
High Street and its construction partner, Wespac Residential, Inc., broke ground in December 2024.
When will the work be done? The community is expected to open in early 2027.
