The hit reality TV show “Love Island USA” — based on the U.K. version of the series with the same name — is looking for singles who want to try to find love in the villa.
Recent seasons have brought in a whole new wave of fans. Season 8 reached nearly 19 billion minutes watched ahead of the reunion, according to Peacock, making it the streamer's most-watched original season ever.
The series has also become synonymous with internet fame, with cast members either emerging from the villa as fan favorites or discovering they've received a "villain edit."
Peacock announced on Aug. 26 that the reality dating show has been officially renewed for Season 9. The casting announcement also appeared on the "Love Island USA" Instagram account
after the Season 8 finale.
"Love Island USA," which airs on Peacock and CBS, follows Islanders who couple up to participate in games and challenges throughout their stay at the villa. Temptations and drama break up couples as bombshells arrive and connections are threatened. Contestants may recouple with someone new, and they can be eliminated by viewer votes.
In the end, one winning couple walks away with the cash prize of $100,000 jointly or $50,000 each.

Who is the host of 'Love Island' Season 9?
Peacock confirmed that "Vanderpump Rules" star and Emmy-nominated host Ariana Madix will return for "Love Island USA" Season 9.
How to apply for ‘Love Island USA’ 2027
The only way you can apply for Season 9 of “Love Island USA” is through the online application form: loveislandusa.castingcrane.com.
You must be 18 years of age or older. You'll be asked for your birth date to access the form.
'Love Island USA' casting
Get ready to share a lot of information about yourself: There are 86 questions on the online application form. Initial questions ask about your height, weight, hometown, education and job. You are also asked for links to your social media accounts.
Here are some of the other questions on the "Love Island" application:
- "Do you have or have you had content on subscription sites such as OnlyFans, Fansly, Patreon, or similar? Ever made an appearance on an Adult Film site or exclusive content site?"
- "At this time in your life, are you more interested in exploring casual 'situationships' or finding a more serious relationship?"
- "Do you have a preferred way of finding dates (e.g., in person, dating apps like Tinder or Raya or other methods)? Do you prefer to be the pursuer or be pursued?"
- "What is the boldest thing you've ever done to get someone's attention?"
- "Why do you think you are currently single?"
- "What makes you a good boy/girlfriend? What makes you a bad boy/girlfriend?"
- "Have you ever been unfaithful in a relationship? (Be honest!)"
- "Do you generally get along better with men or women? Explain"
- "Who is your celebrity crush and why?"
- "Do you have any close connections to celebrities or known public figures (e.g., family relation, dated in the past or friends with)?"
- "What is the most difficult thing you have ever been through?"
- "Have you ever seen any past seasons of Love Island (U.S. or U.K.)? If so, which ones?"
- "Is there any other information we should be made aware of concerning your application (including anything in your past that may attract negative press or publicity)? If YES, please provide details."
'Love Island' application deadline
There's no clear deadline on the application. It does say you must be at least 18 years old.
'Love Island USA' Season 9 release date
The Season 9 premiere date has not been announced.
The Season 6 application asked prospective cast members if they had any scheduling conflicts between June and August 2024.
The current application, which is not updated yet, also states, "Do you have any conflicts that cannot be postponed or canceled between mid-May to late July 2026?"
Season 6 of "Love Island USA" aired from June 11 to July 21, 2024. Season 7 ran from June 3 to July 13, 2025, and Season 8 aired from June 2 to July 12, 2026. Based on that pattern, Season 9 would likely debut around the same time in 2027.
