Tempe rockers The Maine have announced the action-packed lineup for the 2027 edition of their 8123 Fest, which will return to Mesa Amphitheatre for two days of music the weekend of Jan. 15-16 to kick off a year celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Maine.
Will it be “the most epic one yet,” as promised?
It certainly looks that way on paper.
The Maine will headline both nights, performing entirely different sets with zero repeats.
Curated as always by lead singer John O’Callaghan, guitarists Kennedy Brock and Jared Monaco, bassist Garrett Nickelsen and drummer Pat Kirch, the lineup includes The Band Camino, Andrew McMahon and the Strings Attached Quartet, The Academy Is…, Beach Weather, The Aces and The Summer Set.
In addition to the main festival
performances on Friday and Saturday, 8123 Fest will feature additional side shows yet to be announced, a pop-up shop and a charity day on Monday, Jan. 18.
O’Callaghan issued a statement sharing his excitement about this upcoming festival.
“Standing at the edge of 20 years as a band and that free-fall feeling of weightlessness is beginning to well up as the roller coaster climbs,” he said.
“To say I’m excited would be the biggest understatement, and now we can finally answer the most-asked question of the year so far: 8123 FEST is a GO. So it’s time to shed the parkas for a light cardigan, clean off your golf clubs (I heard that’s a sport some people play) and mentally prepare for the most beautifully manic weekend that The Maine can provide. Lineup is juiced. Vibes are sky high. And YEAR 20 + 8123 FEST will make for some historic (expletive)! Giddy up!”
Kirch also issued a statement.
“8123 Fest is all about the people that have created a family around our band,” he said.
“Fans from all around the world getting together in our hometown, all celebrating 20 years of something that is much bigger than music. These people have become family over the past two decades and we can’t wait to be together again! We are so proud and honored to announce the lineup for 8123 Fest 2027. These are bands we love and know are going to give everyone a show they will not forget. The goal this year was to level up the festival and these artists absolutely do that. It is going to be an honor to share the stage with them.”

2025 has been a banner year for The Maine, including 'Joy Next Door'
Earlier this year, The Maine wrapped their first Stateside headlining tour in nearly two years, which had their biggest on sale yet. And they’re preparing to cross the pond later in September for an eight-city European headlining tour, which marks their biggest European tour to date.
A slate of fall U.S. headline tour dates is also on sale. Kicking off on Aug. 20 in Tucson, the 11-show trek finds The Maine crisscrossing the country, touching down on stages everywhere from Anaheim to Chicago, Baltimore and Worcester.
Arriving at the height of The Maine’s career, “Joy Next Door” is arguably their most essential album yet, written and recorded in sequential order to emphasize the storytelling approach of the LP. In keeping with their longstanding tradition of each era relating to a specific color, the “Joy Next Door" era is green.
With more than 1 billion global streams to date and more than 1 million followers across social media, The Maine have cultivated a dedicated fanbase over their nearly two-decade career that’s included nine studio albums, five of which charted on the Billboard 200.
They’ve continued to chart their own course since their inception with their 2008 debut album, Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, including a Top Five Alternative Radio hit in 2022 with “Loved You A Little.”
Over the course of their acclaimed career, they’ve performed at festivals worldwide, including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, as well as headlining their own sold-out 8123 Fest in Arizona.
