After spending the past few weeks on the road, and having a week off, Arizona State football is finally returning to Tempe for a game Saturday night, Oct. 3, against the Baylor Bears.
ASU (2-1, 1-0 in Big 12) beat Kansas, 24-17, in the first Union Jack Classic on Saturday, Sept. 19, at historic Wembley Stadium in London.
Over his first three games, quarterback Cutter Boley has averaged 245.3 yards passing and has thrown for nine touchdowns.
Wide receiver Reed Harris has amassed 374 receiving yards in three games, averaging 124.7 per game. Harris leads all receivers with five touchdowns.
Kickoff against Baylor is slated for 7:30 p.m. MST and will be shown on ESPN.
Hockey to open season on the road
The Arizona State hockey team, recently picked ninth of 10 teams in the conference media
poll, continues to practice in preparation for their season opener in St. Charles, Missouri, against Lindenwood on Friday, Oct. 2, with game time scheduled for 5 p.m. MST.
ASU went 14-21-1 last season and lost seven of its nine rostered defensemen to the portal, plus its first-ever first-round draft pick, forward Cullen Potter. The team's two leading scorers, Cruz Lucius and Bennett Schimek, graduated. The Sun Devils will return to Mullett Arena on Oct. 9 to face Holy Cross at 7 p.m. MST.
