The southeast Valley's Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints community will soon have a new Temple in Queen Creek.
It will be located just north of the intersection of West Queen Creek Road and Euell Drive, according to a church press release.
It will be the fourth Temple in the Valley, although an opening date has not been announced.
Arizona's first Temple was established in Mesa in 1927, roughly 50 years after the first missionaries established a settlement along the Salt River.
Queen Creek's first town hall building was an old Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse.
The church membership in the southeast Phoenix suburb has grown hand in hand with Queen Creek's overall growth.
Jason Bagley, who oversees six church congregations
in Queen Creek, said the church community has grown from roughly a dozen in 2005 to around 110 today.
In addition to the three temples in and around Phoenix, there are six in Arizona overall. The other three are in Snowflake, Gila Valley and Tucson.

Phoenix: 5220 W. Pinnacle Peak Rd.
The Phoenix Temple is the youngest of the three in the Valley. It opened in November 2014 after being announced in 2008. The temple sits on a 5.19-acre site and was the 144th temple in the world.
Gilbert: 3301 S. Greenfield Rd.
The Gilbert Temple also opened its doors in March 2014 after being announced in 2008. At the time of its opening, it was the largest temple constructed by the church in 17 years, according to church records.
Mesa: 101 S Lesueur
The Mesa Temple is the first and oldest LDS temple in Arizona. It opened its doors in October 1927 and was designed to evoke Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem. The front page of Arizona Republican framed the Temple's dedication as the "greatest gathering ever to assemble either in the town or at a religious gathering of any nature in Arizona."
