Two construction firm executives were among the buyers and sellers of metro Phoenix’s priciest houses to close at the end of August.

Alexandra and James McLaury paid cash for a 9,276-square-foot Paradise Valley mansion. They are executives with Carnival Kid Productions Inc. The home has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, barrel-vaulted ceilings and two stone islands in the kitchen. It also comes with a custom wine wall and glass-lined workout room.AF LLC sold it. Nicholas Toon and Jordan Wobig of RETSY had the listing.

Sunstar Enterprises bought a new Scottsdale home near the Scottsdale Country Club. The house is located on a 2.34-acre lot. No other information was available. An LLC named after the address of the house was the seller.

The home also comes with Camelback Mountain views, an oversized kitchen island, pantry, sport court and built-in barbecue. Dana Schuchardt, owner of Goldfish Swim School in Gilbert, sold it.

The home also has a circular drive, built-in coffee system, Matterhorn granite countertops, a breakfast room, a primary suite with two bathrooms and a cabana with wet bar, four wall-mounted TVs and a game room. Michael and Sandra Godbehere sold it. He is the CEO of the construction firm GCON Inc.

Debbie and David Dacus bought a 4,009-square-foot home in north Scottsdale’s Estancia community. He is an executive with the Texas construction firm Troy. The home has three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, a loggia, a heated pool, outdoor kitchen and fire pit. Toni Haselton was the seller.
