What is the story about?

Location: Northwest corner of North Verrado Way and West Roosevelt Street in Buckeye.

Description: Based on the map of Oregano's locations in the valley, it appears this is the first chain in Buckeye. Currently, the closet Oregano's to the Verrado area are in Surprise and Goodyear.

Along the road entering Oregano's, there is a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers and an In-N-Out Burger.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Italian-inspired dishes, including a variety of pastas, salads, pizzas and appetizers such as "bistro calamari," according to the restaurant's menu.

Buckeye is getting closer to having Italian-inspired dishes closer to home. The Oregano's in the Verrado community was under construction on Sept. 17.

History: Sunbelt Land Holdings LP owns the plot of land where the Oregano's, In-N-Out, and Raising Cane's are located. The development is known as Buckeye Commons and is anchored by

Costco and Dick's Sporting Goods, according to the owner's website.

When will the work be done? Oregano's did not respond to comment on when the restaurant will open. Construction on the restaurant looked nearly completed at the time of publishing.
