Country Thunder Arizona is teasing its first headliner reveal for 2027 on billboards around metro Phoenix that show a pair of white boots with pink stars against a hot pink backdrop, reminding everyone that Country Thunder is April 8-11 in Florence.
I won’t ruin everybody’s fun by solving that puzzle for you without even buying a vowel, but I will tell you it’s a multi-platinum superstar whose latest release topped the Billboard 200.
The billboards started popping up at various locations at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21.
The Country Thunder website and social media channels have also received a pink makeover, inviting fans to guess whose boots will take that stage in April.

The festival's digital manager Megan Benoit says, "When we locked in this superstar
headliner, we knew we had to celebrate in a big way. Our fans look forward to the lineup announcement all year long, and for us, that anticipation is a huge part of what makes festival season so exciting. We wanted to give them a chance to be part of that excitement rather than simply dropping the lineup all at once.”
Country Thunder fans are “incredibly passionate about the artists they love,” Benoit says, “and they love to speculate, share theories and try to figure out who might be coming to the festival. So we thought, why not have a little fun with them and give them some clues to work with? We’re really excited to see the conversations and guesses that come out of it.”
