Harkins is no longer showing A24 movies after the theater group and production company couldn't secure "mutually agreeable terms."
The local favorite movie theaters already pulled screenings of the Anthony Bourdain biopic "Tony" (starring Dominic Sessa). Since then, all of A24's upcoming screenings — including the upcoming Robert Pattinson flick "Primetime" — were pulled from Harkins' lineup.
Though Harkins has the largest movie theater presence in Arizona, there are still other theaters showing the movies so fans won't have to miss out on A24 films.

Though Harkins is no longer showing these movies, there are still several other theater groups who do. This includes:
- AMC, which has 12 Arizona locations, shows most A24 movies.
- Cinemark, which has 6 Arizona locations, often shows the major A24 releases.
- Regal Cinemas, which has a location in Gilbert, shows most A24 movies.
- Drive in movie theater West Wind Glendale 9 occasionally shows A24 movies.
- RoadHouse Cinemas, which has locations in Scottsdale and Tucson, shows A24 movies.
- Majestic Neighborhood Cinema Grill, which has locations in the East Valley, shows A24 movies.
Why Harkins isn't showing A24 movies anymore
Michelle Bolden, public relations and community outreach specialist at Harkins explained the reasoning in a statement to The Arizona Republic.
"Unfortunately, we were not able to secure mutually agreeable terms with A24 to present their films at this time," she wrote. "We are disappointed that this is the outcome and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our guests."
