Yelp recently published a list of the top 25 best Mediterranean restaurants in the U.S., and a new Scottsdale restaurant earned the No. 1 spot.
Pinyon, the most recent concept from Hi Noon Hospitality, was named the best Mediterranean restaurant in the country by Yelp Elites.
Pinyon offers a diverse menu inspired by more than 20 Mediterranean countries. The main menu focuses on cooking using seasonal ingredients over an open flame. There is also a raw bar and hummusiya.
Yelp Elites shouted out dishes such as the house-made pita, artichoke hummus, yellowtail crudo and seasonal dips.

Pinyon is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
