The Cardinals had a gaping hole to fill before the season began, and replacing longtime play-by-play voice Dave Pasch was no easy task.
The franchise announced Pasch's replacement on Tuesday, Aug. 4, naming J.P. Shadrick as the new radio voice of the Cardinals.
Shadrick, 44, has worked for Westwood One the past four years on NFL games and for the Touchdown Radio Network on college games since 2017.
He'll team with analyst A.Q. Shipley, entering his second season, and Dani Sureck, who begins her inaugural season as Cardinals sideline reporter.
"Dave Pasch is one of the great voices in our game, and I appreciate the high standard that he left behind," Shadrick said in the team release. "I'm eager to work toward matching that but also take it further
in my own style.
"I'm fired up to work with A.Q. Shipley too; his great personality combined with his in-depth knowledge of the game in all aspects makes him a top-tier analyst."
Shadrick was a senior reporter for the past 14 seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars' site, Jaguars.com, as host of the weekly coach's radio show.
He was also a pregame and postgame radio host.
Pasch worked the past 24 seasons with the Cardinals.
ESPN signed him to an exclusive deal, somewhat forcing his hand and leading to his stepping down.
