Location: North Verrado Way & West Market Street in Buckeye
Description: Buckeye residents of the Verrado neighborhood will soon have another place to find burgers, pizzas, pizzookies and beers.
A BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse is under construction in the rapidly growing Verrado neighborhood. BJ's is a California restaurant chain known for its deep-dish pizza and beer.
This would be BJ's first location in Buckeye, according to a map of the chain's locations. BJ's currently has six locations in the Valley.
History: Vestar, a Phoenix-based company, is overseeing the development of BJ's. Vestar is also overseeing the development of several other stores and businesses, such as the Safeway near the restaurant.
When will the work be done? BJ's Restaurant
and Brewhouse was not immediately available for comment. It's unclear when the restaurant will open. Construction appeared to have just started on Aug. 19.
