Here are this week's nominees for the Arizona high school football Play of the Week.
The video at the top of this story features The Republic's three nominees for the high school football Play of the Week for games played on Oct. 1-2, 2026. It features an impressive defensive play from the Desert Edge-Canyon View game, a kickoff return from the Maryvale-North Canyon game and a thrilling TD pass-and-catch from the Perry-Higley game.

How to submit a video
The Republic invites readers to submit
nominees. Video clips need to be about 30 seconds or less, and submissions should include player and team names, along with information about the play. Crowd noise during the play is preferred. They must be from the most recent week of games. Look for the link that says "upload your video'' at azcentral.com/sports/high-schools. The deadline for submitting videos is 5 p.m. on Saturday.
