When people think of Phoenix's culinary scene, they probably think of Mexican food. And that's fair, given the state's proximity to Mexico. But true locals know that the Valley is also home to both nationally acclaimed joints and criminally underrated pizzerias, from fancy wood-fired pies to casual New York slice joints and everything in between.
With so many options, everyone has to have a favorite. And we want to know yours.
The second annual Phoenix Pizza Poll is now open.
Last year, the winner was Il Bosco, a top-notch wood-fired pizzeria with four Valley locations. Since Il Bosco Pizza won last year, it has been excluded from this year's competition to give others a chance at the spotlight.
The contenders for 2026 include 10 of the best pizzerias
in the Valley.

Cibo
Cibo Pizzeria specializes in artisanal wood-fired pizzas with thick, fluffy crusts — including gluten-free crust options that are just as airy as the real thing. It landed on our 100 essential restaurants list this year. It also made the top three in last year's pizza poll.

Craft 64
Craft 64 has been named one of the best pizzerias in the United States several times by 50 Top Pizza for its use of local ingredients and homemade mozzarella.

Fabio on Fire Pizzeria Italiana
Chef Fabio Ceschetti imports many of his ingredients from Italy at his West Valley staple restaurant Fabio on Fire. The menu includes wood-fired pizzas with red and white sauces. It landed on our 100 essential restaurants list this year.

Moodie's Border Town Pies
Kristen Martinez of Moodie Black and MB Foodhouse recently took over as head pizza chef at The Pemberton, serving Tex Mex-inspired Detroit pies topped with elote and carne asada.

Myke's Pizza
Located inside Cider Corps in downtown Mesa, Myke's Pizza offers artisan wood-fired pies with traditional toppings, plus specialties like potato and bacon or seasonal fruit. It landed on our 100 essential restaurants list this year.

The Parlor
The Parlor's wood-fired pies, especially the Salsiccia topped with grilled radicchio and spicy pork sausage, earned them a spot on Food Network's list of top places to eat. It was also on our 100 essential restaurants list this year.

Pizzeria Bianco
Chris Bianco is perhaps the most famous pizza chef in the Valley, often credited with bringing artisanal pizza to Phoenix in the '80s. He won a James Beard Award for Best Chef — Southwest in 2003 and has received numerous national and international accolades since, including a Bib Gourmand designation in the first ever Southwest Michelin Guide.

The Starving Artist
The Starving Artist, opened by the OHSO Brewing team in 2024, is best known for its dill pickle pizza. The full menu includes 10 signature pizza pies. It landed on our 100 essential restaurants list this year.

Trevor's
Trevor's makes handmade artisanal brick-oven pizzas using grains from Hayden Flour Mills. It made the top three in last year's pizza poll.

Via Della Slice Shop
Via Della Slice Shop is a popular spot to grab pizza by the slice in downtown Phoenix. It made our essential restaurants list and also was named one of the best pizzerias in the country by USA TODAY.
