Big 12 football Week 2 prediction: Friday, Sept. 11
- Missouri at Kansas, 5 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
This Border War game is a great game to kick off Week 2 in Big 12 football action. Austin Simmons won't go 17-for-19 with four touchdowns as he did in Missouri's season opener, but he will lead the Tigers past the Jayhawks on the road.
Prediction: Missouri 27, Kansas 24
Big 12 football Week 2 predictions: Saturday, Sept. 12
- Oregon at Oklahoma State, 9 a.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
Oregon got a wake-up call against Boise State. Bad news for the Cowboys, who are a 22.5-point underdog at home. Dante Moore and company will cruise in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Prediction: Oregon 38, Oklahoma State 17
- Arizona State at Texas A&M, 9 a.m., ABC (stream with FUBO)
The Sun Devils are a 14.5-point underdog against the Aggies. Cutter Boley and ASU football may not win, but Kenny Dillingham's team will at least keep it close against Texas A&M in College Station, Texas.
Prediction: Texas A&M 30, Arizona State 27
- Washington State at Kansas State, 9 a.m., TNT (stream with Sling)
The Huskies looked impressive in a 71-3 win over Nicholls State, but that was Nicholls State. Avery Johnson and company will also impress against Washington State.
Prediction: Kansas State 28, Washington State 13
- UT Martin at West Virginia, 10 a.m., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
The Mountaineers had a 24-0 lead in Week 1 before holding on for a 31-24 win over Coastal Carolina. This game won't be as close for Rich Rodriguez's West Virginia team.
Prediction: West Virginia 35, UT Martin 14
- Arizona at BYU 12:30 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
This Week 2 Big 12 conference game could be very intriguing, but BYU is at home, where it hasn't lost since 2024. The Cougars' defense will make some big stops on Noah Fifita and the Wildcats.
Prediction: BYU 31, Arizona 24
- Weber State at Colorado, 12:30 p.m.., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
Is Colorado ready for a much-improved 2026 after its win over Georgia Tech? Deion Sanders' team can't afford to slip up against Weber State. It won't.
Prediction: Colorado 40, Weber State 17
- UCF at Pittsburgh, 12:30 p.m., ESPN2 (stream with FUBO)
The Knights took care of business in a 73-6 win over Bethune-Cookman. Can they upset Pitt in Week 2 on the road? They can with a big game from Alonza Barnett III.
Prediction: UCF 24, Pittsburgh 23
- Southern at Houston, 4 p.m., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
The Cougars are a huge favorite over the Jaguars for a reason. Conner Weigman will lead Houston to a 2-0 record with a big win at home.
Prediction: Houston 50, Southern 10
- Western Carolina at Cincinnati, 4 p.m., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
Cincinnati took care of business in its Week 1 win over Boston College, rushing for 254 yards. Gi'Bran Payne and the Bearcats might rush for 400 yards as a team against Western Carolina.
Prediction: Cincinnati 48, Western Carolina 13
- Texas Tech at Oregon State, 4:30 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Beavers opened the season with a 33-20 loss to Big 12 foe Houston and now get to take on Big 12 favorite Texas Tech in Week 2. Will Hammond will deliver for the Red Raiders.
Prediction: Texas Tech 35, Oregon State 20
- Iowa State at Iowa, 4:30 p.m., NBC (stream with Peacock)
The Hawkeyes are more than a two-touchdown favorite over the Cyclones, but you never know what might happen in this rivalry game. We have a pretty good idea that Iowa's defense will help it secure a win, however.
Prediction: Iowa 24, Iowa State 20

- Prairie View A&M at Baylor, 5 p.m., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
DJ Lagway and Baylor has the perfect matchup to bounce back from its close loss to Auburn. And the Bears will bounce back in a big way.
Prediction: Baylor 53, Prairie View A&M 13
- Grambling at TCU, 5 p.m., ESPN+ (stream with ESPN+)
TCU had a week off in Week 1 after falling to North Carolina in Week 0. You can fix a lot of things in an off week, as Sonny Dykes will show.
Prediction: TCU 45, Grambling 10
- Arkansas at Utah, 7:15 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
The Big 12 could use a big win over the SEC in the final conference game of the week. Devon Dampier and company will provide it, taking down the Razorbacks in Salt Lake City.
Prediction: Utah 38, Arkansas 20
