Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker rocking No. 15 in paying homage to his father, Melvin Booker, after wearing No. 1 for his first 11 NBA seasons isn’t a dramatic change for him.
“I just feel like, you know, where it all started,” said Booker at the team's media day last month. Booker's dad wore No. 15 in college at Missouri.
“It's not a foreign number to me. Even walking around downstairs, everyone was saying it's going take some time to get used to, but when I look in the mirror, the first pictures I've seen of me wearing it, I feel back at home. So, feels like where it first started,'' he said.
Booker is turning 30-years old on Oct. 30. He’s more than good with it.
“I'm looking forward to it,” Booker said. “I still feel young. Yeah, I feel like
30 is one of those milestone years, so, you know, I feel something good cooking.”
Booker is the only player from the 2015 NBA Draft still with the same franchise.
