Yes, the beloved '90s childhood store Toys 'R' Us may have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017 and consequently liquidated its U.S. business and closed all remaining stores, but it looks like it's making a return with a few modern changes.
Only two years after filing for bankruptcy, Toys 'R' Us returned with smaller stores in New Jersey and Texas, though both ended up closing in 2021. WHP Global acquired the brand in 2021 and continued to rebuild the brand with another comeback in 222 when Toys 'R' Us began opening shops inside Macy's stores across the nation.
Now, the company is partnered with Go! Retail Group in order to grow the standalone stores from 40 to 160, however, the company has
not revealed where those 120 new stores will be located. These new and improved Toys 'R' Us stores will carry toys and collectibles from major brands like LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels and more. Some shops will have additional features like candy shops and cafés or offer Creator Studios where content creators can come in and film content like product unveilings.

There aren't currently any open Toys 'R' Us locations in Arizona. While the company has announced they're opening more locations in the near future, it's uncertain if there will be any opening up in Arizona.
