The third week of the 2026 Arizona high school football season takes place on Sept. 3-4, with games played across all six Arizona Interscholastic Conferences. Most of the games are scheduled for Friday, but a handful are being played on Thursday night.

Top games of the week
The Republic's Richard Obert has his eye on the Tempe at Chaparral game on Friday, which is noteworthy after both schools had their opponents cancel this week's games. Tempe, a 4A school,
quickly stepped up and offered to face 5A Chaparral on the road. Other top games include Cactus at Millennium and Mesa Mountain View at Pinnacle. Here's a link to our full Top 10 list of top games:
