Nominees are based on performances in Arizona Interscholastic Association-sanctioned sports. Vote for the top selection in each of our polls below. Girls
Delaney Humbert, Phoenix Arizona Lutheran, flag football, Sr.: She had five interceptions in an 8-7 win over Chandler Seton Catholic Prep on Sept. 29, setting
the 3A conference state record for the most interceptions in a single game.
Lauren Forelli, Peoria Liberty, volleyball, Sr.: She had 19 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Waddell Canyon View on Sept. 29.
Ellysia Martinez, Flagstaff Northland Prep, soccer, Jr.: She had four goals in a 9-0 win over Holbrook on Oct. 2 and two goals in a 4-3 overtime win against Lakeside Blue Ridge on Oct. 3.
Boys
Kelton Rogers, Phoenix Sunnyslope, football, Sr.: He ran for 324 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries and also caught a 10-yard scoring pass in a 50-15 win over Glendale Ironwood on Oct. 2.
Crew Comish, Mesa Red Mountain, cross-country, Sr.: He won the Glendale Showcase on Oct. 3, running the 5,000-meter course in 16:03.4.
Cameron Zobec, Scottsdale Chaparral, swimming, Jr.: He won the 100 free (46.56 seconds) at the Desert Mountain Invite in Scottsdale on Oct. 3, setting the state leading-time in the event.
