Tempe police asked the public for help with information about a possible vehicle of interest in a 2019 shooting that killed a pregnant woman and her unborn child.
Shiann Peace, 23, was shotat around 11
p.m. on Jan. 3, 2019, near Broadway and Rural roads, according to Tempe police.
Peace, who was pregnant at the time, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel, according to police.
As an investigation was launched into the double homicide, Tempe police were unable to identify a suspect, but seven years later, they believe there could be a vehicle of interest in connection with the shooting.
A gray 2012 Ford Focus SE hatchback was seen on surveillance cam footage driving around the area at the time of the shooting. Tempe police do not believe that the car was owned by the suspect, but they are asking the public for assistance for any information on the matching vehicle.
