The Pima County Sheriff's Department shared the initial ransom note tied to Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping, along with the follow-up note claiming she had died, as officials renewed their plea for information on the six-month anniversary of when the 84-year-old was last seen.
"Two videos recovered from Nancy's doorbell camera may be from two separate days," the agency also said in a statement posted on X.
"These videos are critical to our understanding of the unidentified male's behaviors and choices. They indicate he took steps to prepare for the event on the night of January 31 to February 1."
The news release is the Sheriff's Department's first major update on the investigation in months.
