A ZIP code in a small, unincorporated rural community in Arizona is among the nation’s top trending ZIP codes for movers, according to a new study.
A new report by MovingPlace, an online marketplace that connects customers with moving providers, identified the nation’s top trending ZIP codes by analyzing nearly 1 million recent moves.
The study examined origin and destination ZIP codes to determine which areas are seeing the biggest increases in moving activity, both nationwide and within each state.
The ZIP codes that made the top 10 experienced the most dramatic month-over-month changes in move volume, with unusual spikes in the number of people moving into the area. According to MovingPlace, those shifts can reflect a combination of seasonal
patterns, economic factors and local events.

Why is Hereford one of the top trending ZIP codes?
Hereford, a rural community about 14 miles southeast of Sierra Vista and just outside Fort Huachuca, has the nation’s fourth-highest trending ZIP code for movers, according to MovingPlace.
The ZIP code, 85615, showed a 70% month-over-month increase in move volume in the report.
Much of the community’s moving activity is tied to Fort Huachuca, one of the area’s largest sources of employment and military activity. Military reassignments and employment at the base could be the leading reasons households move into the surrounding area, according to MovingPlace.
