In 2026, even massive restaurant chains are not safe from closures. Perhaps the biggest recent restaurant closure was the Arizona-born chain Salad and Go, which filed for bankruptcy and closed all of its locations earlier this month. But Salad and Go is not the only restaurant chain to shutter stores in 2026.
Since the start of the year, Cheesecake Factory has closed several locations in the United States, including both traditional Cheesecake Factory restaurants and other brands under the parent company.
Despite the recent closures, the chain is not going away anytime soon. According to multiple earnings reports, the company plans to open as many as 26 new restaurants in fiscal 2026, including up to six The Cheesecake Factory restaurants, six to seven
North Italia locations, six to seven Flower Child locations and as many as seven other restaurants from Fox Restaurant Concepts.
Which Cheesecake Factory locations are closed?
In January, The Cheesecake Factory closed two long-standing locations: one on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, DC, and one on Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
Two restaurants that are owned by The Cheesecake Factory parent company, Grand Lux Cafe and Blanco Cocina + Cantina, also closed in Houston this year.
Neither restaurant has closed any other locations this year.
Is Cheesecake Factory closing in Arizona?
Arizona has so far been unaffected by Cheesecake Factory closures in 2026.
