Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks couldn't resist the opportunity at the team's media day to throw a dart at NBA officiating.
When asked what he can apply from taking kung-fu lessons on his China trip to the court this season, Brooks said, "If anybody pisses me off, I'm going to give them a drop kick, especially the ones that are wearing stripes."
Brooks led the NBA in technical fouls last season with 17.
Turning serious, Brooks talked about absorbing a new outlook from his time in China this summer.
"I learned the opposite of that," Brooks said at the team's media day Sept. 28 at Mortgage Matchup Center. "I learned how to center myself, simplify my life and focus on what I need to focus on."
Brooks talked about learning Taoism, a Chinese philosophy
that focuses on a positive, active attitude of living in harmony with the eternal force that guides the universe.
"Synergy, they call it the pure way of living, simple living," Brooks said. "It's going to be a little tough with all these cameras and all these people and going state to state to play basketball, but I can take a little bit, you know, center myself in the hotel room or getting ready for games, staying focused. Those are things I kind of take from it and put into the Villain."
