Most NFL teams have now played three games this season. Although a small sample size in terms of the whole NFL season, those three games have given us three chances to evaluate each NFL team.
The results after NFL Week 3? A big shakeup in our NFL power rankings for Week 4 of the season.
We are no longer letting what a team did last season impact our NFL power rankings. Nor are preseason Super Bowl odds
.These NFL Week 4 power rankings solely take into account how teams have looked after three games this season and the rankings are drastically different from last week's NFL power rankings and especially our NFL Week 1 power rankings, with the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars among
the biggest positive surprises this season and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams among the biggest disappointments.
Where is every team in our Week 4 NFL power rankings? These NFL power rankings before Week 4 will be updated after the Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears today. Previous ranking in parentheses.

32. Miami Dolphins (32)
Miami is now 0-3 on the season. It has only scored 36 points and has given up 86. It looks like it is going to be a long season for Malik Willis and the Dolphins.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Kansas City Chiefs, 24-10 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Minnesota Vikings (Oct. 4)
31. Tennessee Titans (31)
Cam Ward and the 0-3 Titans have been outscored 37-59 in their three losses this season. They actually out-gained the Giants in Week 3, but turnovers helped in their undoing.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to New York Giants, 12-7 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Baltimore Ravens (Oct. 4)
30. Los Angeles Chargers (24)
We thought the Chargers could compete for the playoffs this season. It's not looking that way after a 0-3 start. Jim Harbaugh and company are left searching for answers with the Seahawks, Broncos, Chiefs and Rams up next.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Buffalo Bills, 24-16 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Seattle Seahawks (Oct. 4)
29. Houston Texans (21)
The Texans started the season 0-3 last season before rallying to make the postseason. Can C.J. Stroud lead the team to the postseason again after an 0-3 start in 2026? Houston's offense has serious issues and needs Nico Collins.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Indianapolis Colts, 19-17 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Dallas Cowboys (Oct. 4)
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (25)
The Buccaneers are 0-3, having lost their three games by a total of 17 points and now have Baker Mayfield's status looming over the team. The good news? The rest of the NFC South is just 1-2.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Minnesota Vikings, 23-16 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Green Bay Packers (Oct. 4)
27. New England Patriots (13)
The Patriots (1-2) have scored 36 total points in three games this season. Ouch. Drake Maye is off to a terrible start, and the Super Bowl appearance seems like it was ages ago for New England.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Jacksonville Jaguars, 35-6 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Buffalo Bills (Oct. 4)
26. Green Bay Packers (17)
Yes, this team misses Micah Parsons and Josh Jacobs. But it should be better than this. The 1-2 Packers' only win came against the Jets, 20-17. Green Bay looked particularly bad against the Falcons in Week 3.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Atlanta Falcons, 35-14 (Sept. 24)
- NFL Week 4: At Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Oct. 4)
25. Atlanta Falcons (30)
Michael Penix Jr. had a great first game for the 1-2 Falcons, and Bijan Robinson (194 yards on 29 carries, two touchdowns) was Bijan Robinson. It's amazing how one game can inject new life into a team.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Green Bay Packers, 35-14 (Sept. 24)
- NFL Week 4: At New Orleans Saints (Oct. 5)
24. Arizona Cardinals (28)
Many NFL insiders thought the Cardinals would be the worst team in the NFL this season, but Jacoby Brissett and Arizona (1-2) have been competitive through three games.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to San Francisco 49ers, 36-30 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At New York Giants (Oct. 4)
23. New York Jets (27)
The Jets have actually outscored their opponents this season, 64-61, but sit at 1-2 after a couple of close losses. Geno Smith and company have been a surprise through three games. They were supposed to be horrendous.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Detroit Lions, 31-24 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Chicago Bears (Oct. 4)
22. Washington Commanders (26)
The upset of the week? Washington avoided falling to 0-3 with a huge upset of the Seahawks, with Marcus Mariota throwing three touchdown passes. The 1-2 Commanders have question marks, but they have hope, even without Jayden Daniels.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Seattle Seahawks, 33-31 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Indianapolis Colts (Oct. 4 in London)
21. Carolina Panthers (20)
The Panthers scored 37 points on the Bears. They had 34 against the Falcons. They could only muster 18 against the Browns. Bryce Young and Carolina are now 1-2, with a lot of work to do.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Cleveland Browns, 21-18 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Detroit Lions (Oct. 4)
20. Indianapolis Colts (23)
The Colts did not want to fall to 0-3, and Daniel Jones and company did just enough to improve to 1-2. There are a lot of issues to fix after three weeks, however.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Houston Texans, 19-17 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Washington Commanders (Oct. 4 in London)
19. New Orleans Saints (19)
The 1-2 Saints couldn't take care of the football against the Raiders, and it hurt them. But Tyler Shough and New Orleans could have a say in the NFC South race.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Las Vegas Raiders, 35-27 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Atlanta Falcons (Oct. 5)
18. Dallas Cowboys (15)
The Cowboys played for overtime in Rio de Janeiro, but didn't get there, falling in heartbreaking fashion on a 56-yard field goal as time expired. Dak Prescott and Dallas might be much better than their 1-2 record.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Baltimore Ravens, 34-31 (Sept. 27 in Rio de Janeiro)
- NFL Week 4: At Houston Texans (Oct. 4)
17. Los Angeles Rams (5)
Do Matthew Stafford and the Rams really deserve to be this low in our NFL power rankings? 1-2 is 1-2. The preseason Super Bowl favorites are tied with the Cardinals for last in the NFC West and have the Eagles and Bills up next.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Denver Broncos, 30-26 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Philadelphia Eagles (Oct. 4)
16. Chicago Bears (14)
How will the Bears (1-1) fare without Caleb Williams? It makes Monday Night Football in Week 3 very intriguing.
- NFL Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles (Sept. 28)
- NFL Week 4: New York Jets (Oct. 4)
15. New York Giants (16)
The Giants won despite Jameis Winston only throwing for 118 yards. That may have worked against the Titans, but it probably won't work against most NFL teams. New York is lucky to be 2-1.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Tennessee Titans, 12-7 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Arizona Cardinals (Oct. 4)
14. Cleveland Browns (29)
The Browns were supposed to be bad this season. Through three games, they are 2-1. The offense was outgained 360-259, but Deshaun Watson delivered when he had to against the Panthers.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Carolina Panthers, 21-18 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers (Oct. 1)
13. Cincinnati Bengals (7)
Cincinnati's defense looked so good in its 2-0 start, but came back to earth in the loss to the Steelers. The good news? Joe Burrow and the offense can outscore a lot of teams. They just couldn't outscore Pittsburgh in Week 3. Cincinnati is 2-1 heading into a big Week 4 game against the Jaguars.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Pittsburgh Steelers, 30-27 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 4)
12. Pittsburgh Steelers (22)
The Steelers' offense came alive behind three Aaron Rodgers touchdowns against the Bengals. The AFC North is up for grabs this season, and Pittsburgh (2-1) has a chance if its offense can click like that.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Cincinnati Bengals, 30-27 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Cleveland Browns (Oct. 1)
11. Detroit Lions (10)
Jahmyr Gibbs (20 carries, 99 yards, 2 TDs, 7 catches, 65 yards, 1 TD) is a very nice safety blanket to have for Jared Goff. The 2-1 Lions look like they should be NFC North contenders.
- NFL Week 3: Beat New York Jets, 31-24 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Carolina Panthers (Oct. 4)
10. Denver Broncos (11)
The Broncos were able to improve to 2-1 with 30 second-half points against the Rams to overcome a 16-0 halftime deficit. That was huge for Denver with the Chiefs and Raiders sitting at 3-0 in the AFC West above them.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Los Angeles Rams, 30-26 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At San Francisco 49ers (Oct. 4)
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (12)
This Jaguars' offense looks legit after another impressive home performance to move to 2-1. Trevor Lawrence completed passes to seven different receivers in Week 3.
- NFL Week 3: Beat New England Patriots, 35-6 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Cincinnati Bengals (Oct. 4)
8. Baltimore Ravens (6)
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens (2-1) just needed six seconds to get into field goal range, and one second for Tyler Loop to hit a 56-yarder against the Cowboys. That's the kind of win that can really inspire a team.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Dallas Cowboys, 34-31 (Sept. 27 in Rio de Janeiro)
- NFL Week 4: Tennessee Titans (Oct. 4)
7. Seattle Seahawks (3)
The 2-1 Seahawks lost a game for the first time since Week 11 of last season, and it was a shocker. This team is still a contender, but it is not unbeatable like it had appeared. Some big games are coming up for Sam Darnold and Seattle.
- NFL Week 3: Lost to Washington Commanders, 33-31 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers (Oct. 4)
6. Philadelphia Eagles (9)
The Eagles haven't dominated opponents, but they have done enough to be 2-0. The schedule is about to get a lot more difficult after their Monday Night Football clash with the Bears on Sept. 28.
- NFL Week 3: At Chicago Bears (Sept. 28)
- NFL Week 4: Los Angeles Rams (Oct. 4)
5. Las Vegas Raiders (18)
The Raiders won three games in 2025. They have won their first three games in 2026. Kirk Cousins and company are a huge early-season surprise.
- NFL Week 3: Beat New Orleans Saints, 35-27 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Kansas City Chiefs (Oct. 4)
4. Minnesota Vikings (8)
The Vikings have given up just 41 points in three games, playing a huge part in the team's 3-0 start. This team could be very dangerous if Kyler Murray gets on the same page as his receivers.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 23-16 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Miami Dolphins (Oct. 4)
3. Kansas City Chiefs (4)
Are the Chiefs back after an abysmal 2025? It sure seems that way. Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City are 3-0, and Travis Kelce appears to have turned back the clock.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Miami Dolphins, 24-10 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: At Las Vegas Raiders (Oct. 4)
2. Buffalo Bills (2)
Josh Allen and the Bills are tough. They are resilient. They are tough to play at home. They are 3-0 and among the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Can they keep it up?
- NFL Week 3: Beat Los Angeles Chargers, 24-16 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: New England Patriots (Oct. 4)
1. San Francisco 49ers (1)
It was not a pretty victory over the Cardinals, but a win is a win in the NFL, and San Francisco is now 3-0 and atop the NFC West standings. Brock Purdy and company have the highest-scoring offense in the NFC.
- NFL Week 3: Beat Arizona Cardinals, 36-30 (Sept. 27)
- NFL Week 4: Denver Broncos (Oct. 4)
