LeBron James, 22-time All-Star and 4-time champ, will join 76ers

LeBron James will join the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report.

ESPN's Sham Charania reported on Friday, July 24, that James is signing with the 76ers on a two-year, $8 million deal with a player

option.

A 22-time NBA All-Star, James decided against coming back to play with Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers, who were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round of the 2026 playoffs.

The list of teams was narrowed to those offering playoff contention and comfort for the soon-to-be-42-year-old.

At this point, it is uncertain whether the coming season will be James' final chapter in the NBA.

He will be entering his 24th season in the NBA, having played with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers.
