The Republic will present a three-part series on the Phoenix Suns starting later this week, focused on several questions presented in polls below.
Media day is scheduled for Sept. 28. The Suns begin training camp Sept. 29.
Phoenix is coming off a 45-win season and playoff appearance after failing to reach the postseason in 2024-25 with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. The then-defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder swept the Suns, an eighth seed, in the first round.

Offseason grades
The Suns re-signed 7-footer Mark Williams, a restricted free agent, and unrestricted free agents Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin.
They traded Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale and a 2033 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick.
Phoenix also added 3-point shooter Luke Kennard and landed Arizona freshman Koa Peat in the first round of the 2026 draft after entering it with just the 47th overall selection in the second round.
Lineups
Phoenix dealt with major injuries last season, starting with Jalen Green, who only played 32 games in the regular season mostly due to a right hamstring strain.
This is after playing every game the previous two years with the Houston Rockets.
A fractured left hand sidelined Dillon Brooks for 18 games while Williams was out 15 straight games with a left foot third metatarsal stress reaction late in the regular season.
Williams then missed the play-in game for the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoffs and the first round versus the Oklahoma City Thunder with the same foot injury.
Multiple injuries limited Allen to 51 games as he and Brooks averaged career highs in points last season. Brooks played just 56 games.
The Suns hope to have better luck with injuries this season, but head coach Jordan Ott must still make rotation decisions, particularly in the fourth quarter of close games, regardless.

Last month, FanDuel gave over/under predictions for win totals for all 30 NBA teams this upcoming season.
The betting site has the Suns at 39.5 wins.
ESPN projected Phoenix would win 31.8 games last season.
The Suns finished with way more triumphs.
