Ashlee DeMartino, a meteorologist with ABC 15, is no longer with the Phoenix station.
DeMartino announced her departure in an Instagram video post on Monday, Oct. 12.
"I have not made this announcement yet, but it only seems fitting, since I am on location and it's raining, that today is my last day at ABC 15," DeMartino said, as she stood in front of Halloween decorations as rain fell in the background.
She thanked viewers.
As for what's next, DeMartino was unclear.
"I don't know what is next," she said in the post. "I don't know what is going to happen. But I'm just going to take a moment to breathe and actually get to enjoy maybe the rain and the weather here in Arizona for a while."
'I can't wait to see what's on the other side of the rainbow!'
In the text accompanying the post, DeMartino said, "That's a wrap
... 25 years in TV news! It is just goodbye for now ... I don't really know ... Time to chase a new kind of storm and I can't wait to see what's on the other side of the rainbow!"
DeMartino joined ABC 15 in September 2021. She had worked previously at Arizona's Family stations, as well as stations in San Diego, Las Vegas, Fresno and Yuma.
At the end of the short video, DeMartino encouraged viewers to continue following her on social media.
"I'll let you know ― when I know ― what's happening next," she said.
