Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks just added another chapter to his love-hate rivalry with LeBron James.
Kalshi has Brooks in a 30-second commercial promoting “King Blocker 9000,” a device that’ll block any mention of James’ name and his nicknames.
The commercial is set to run eight days on TV, streaming platforms and social media beginning Tuesday, Oct. 20 on opening day of the 2026-27 season.
James will make his Philadelphia 76ers debut that day against the defending NBA champion New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden at 4 p.m. on NBC. The Suns play the 76ers twice this season, with the first matchup in Phoenix on Dec. 20, which will be LeBron James' 42nd birthday.
“I am looking forward to December 30th and showing the world who the final boss
is," Brooks said in a news release. "This Kalshi spot is just the beginning.”
The promotion starts with Brooks sitting on a couch watching television and seeing himself, with a wig and glasses, promoting the product.
“Are you tired of hearing about the greatest basketball player of all time?”
That gets Brooks’ attention.
“Where he goes? What team is he playing for this season? What ridiculous new product is he endorsing.”
Brooks responds with a “Yeah.”
“Then you need the King Blocker 9000. Advanced breakthrough technology that will mute mention of (mute) or his many nicknames King (mute) LB (mute), the Chosen (mute). BLOCKED!”
During that segment of the commercial, James’ nicknames like King James, LBJ and Chosen One are scrolling down the side along with “The Kid from Cleveland,” “Little Emperor,” “Akron Hammer,” “L-Train”, “Benjamin Buckets,” “Captain LeMerica” and “Bron Bron” with the www.kingblocker9000.com website.
“Sound good? It sure does.”
Kalshi, a regulated exchange and prediction market known for sports betting, is promoting “King Blocker 9000” as a real product.
The company calls it a “functioning physical device” that’ll be available to win, with additional details to come.
"Dillon Brooks has never been one to shy away from a rivalry," said Keaton Inglis, Head of Growth for Kalshi. "For this campaign, we took that feud a step further and gave fans something they could bring home. It's ridiculous, it's fun, and that's exactly the point. We believe advertising should be something people actually want to watch and talk about."
