Phil Mickelson recently checked out of an addiction treatment facility, TMZ Sports reported Wednesday.
Mickelson, who reportedly sought treatment for "family trauma and addiction," per a family representative, has been in the facility to sort through those issues.
These latest reports come after reporting surfaced in June of Mickelson being accused of inappropriate contact with a female employee of a golf club near San Diego, where he had his membership revoked. Later that month, another story, which Alan Shipnuck reported, described two instances of lurid, unwanted behavior exhibited by Mickelson, which Shipnuck reports came after interviews with 19 people.
Among the incidents involved Mickelson propositioning the wife of fellow pro Pat Perez
minutes after Perez got up to use the restroom. Another incident occurred in a restaurant where Mickelson made graphic depictions in front of a large table of dinner guests.
Mickelson played only one tournament this year, competing in LIV Golf South Africa in March, and has been mostly off radar in 2026.
In April, Mickelson did not compete in the 90th Masters and would be out for an extended period of time due to a personal health matter involving family.
"I have great respect for Augusta National Golf Club and it is definitely the most special week of the year," Mickelson posted on social media. "I wish everyone the best of luck and will be watching."
His last post on social media came May 4.
