Location: 75th Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale.
Description: A former Big Lots is being converted into a long-awaited grocery store in the West Valley.
Whole Foods Market will sit east of the Arrowhead Towne Center, off Mall Drive.
The grocer, known for its natural and organic foods, has several locations across the central and eastern parts of the Valley. Another West Valley location is planned for Surprise, according to spokesperson Carrie Rodgers Hunte. Additional sites were also in the works for Scottsdale and Gilbert, Rodgers Hunte said.

History: The Big Lots location was one of many the discount retailer closed across the nation in 2024. In August, Glendale signed off on plans to alter the building to look like a Whole Foods.
When will the
work be done? Rogers Hunte did not have an expected opening date to share.
