Following the sale of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, another Scottsdale resort is changing hands.
A Delaware company agreed to purchase the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North for $372 million from its owner Braemar Hotels & Resorts, a Dallas-based real estate investment trust.
The sale was disclosed in an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Braemar's most recent portfolio update and financial outlook to investors. The transaction is expected to close on Oct. 22.
Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, located in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, first opened in December 1999 and garnered acclaim for its luxurious accommodations, locally-inspired spa treatments and championship golf at Troon North. It was just named
one of the best resorts in the Southwest in Conde Nast Traveler's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards.
Who bought the Scottsdale Four Seasons?
A Delaware-based limited liability corporation, Evergreen Acquisitions LLC, bought the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North for $372 million.
Little was immediately known about the buyer, but data from the Delaware Division of Corporations showed that Evergreen Acquisitions LLC was incorporated on June 11.
Who sold the Scottsdale Four Seasons?
Braemar Hotels & Resorts, a Dallas-based real estate investment trust, sold the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. It purchased the resort in 2022 for $267.8 million from another Delaware-based LLC, SHR FSST of Chicago.
The Scottsdale Four Seasons was one of several hotels Braemar sold in recent months to pay for fees associated with separating from its external adviser, Ashford Inc. Braemar made the move to cut ties with the adviser and become a self-managed company.
Braemar sold the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota in Florida and two hotels in California's Napa Valley, the Hotel Yountville and the Bardessono Hotel and Spa, for a total of $437.5 million in July, according to the company's Oct. 8 portfolio update.
It also sold the Pier House Resort & Spa in Key West, Florida for $190 million in August.
“With Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale under contract and our transition to self-management on schedule, Braemar is well positioned to deliver long-term value for our shareholders," Richard Stockton, Braemar’s president and CEO, said in a statement.

What does the Scottsdale Four Seasons sale mean for guests?
The sale will have no immediate impact on the guest experience at the Scottsdale Four Seasons, which will continue to be managed by Four Seasons, said Brittany Williams, the hotel's director of commercial public relations and marketing.
No immediate changes to the property are underway, she added.
"Our focus remains on delivering the exceptional service and personalized experiences for which Four Seasons is known, and we look forward to continuing to welcome guests to our Sonoran Desert retreat," Williams said.
