Federal investigators continue to search for a man who fled the country and is suspected of murdering his parents inside their Litchfield Park home.
Avondale police officers conducted a welfare check on a husband, wife and adult son Aug. 4. Another son called officers after he worried he hadn't heard from his mother in several days.
Police said officers found large amounts of blood and signs that someone had unsuccessfully attempted to clean it up. Officers discovered two bodies buried in the backyard on Aug. 6, two days after the welfare check, which were later identified as Hector and Larissa Flores.
Matthew Flores Semyonov, the missing couple's 27-year-old adult son, was named as a suspect. A recently released Avondale police report sheds light
on Flores Semyonov’s behavior before the deadly incident.
The FBI, U.S. Marshals Service and Phoenix police homicide detectives were assisting Avondale police in the case.

The other son of the family told police Flores Semyonov had changed “a great deal” while in college, according to the report.
Flores Semyonov stopped drinking, became less social and made vague threats, according to the report. He moved back into his parents’ home after college, the son told police.
Flores Semyonov learned Hector had cheated on his wife, Larissa, and became upset at his mother for not leaving Hector, according to the report.
Doctors later diagnosed Flores Semyonov with a mental health disorder that involved hearing voices, the report stated.
What is Flores Semyonov wanted for?
Avondale police are seeking Flores Semyonov on suspicion of first-degree murder, domestic violence and abandonment or concealment of a dead body, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a wanted notice.
Where is Flores Semyonov?
Flores Semyonov’s whereabouts are unknown, but he is believed to have left the United States, according to the U.S. Marshals.
The reporting son couldn’t think of a place his brother might’ve gone, as he had no close friends or relatives to stay with.
The U.S. Marshals Service is coordinating with federal and international law enforcement partners to locate and bring him back to Arizona.

Larissa Flores, 63, worked for Circle the City, a nonprofit that provides health care to people experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. Hector Flores, 69, was an associate professor of management and human resources at Cal Poly Pomona in Southern California.
