With gas prices on the rise, Arizona residents and out of town visitors will want to avoid wasting gas at all costs as freeway closures and lane restrictions will be widespread throughout metro Phoenix
this weekend.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, three freeway closures are scheduled for improvement projects in the Phoenix area during the weekend of July 24-27.
Also, with heat advisories and possible monsoons coming to the Valley, freeway restriction schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other factors, ADOT stated in a travel advisory.
As a reminder, real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at AZ511.gov, the az511 app or by calling 511.
