Arizonans who want to vote early in the Nov. 3, 2026, election have lots of options.
There are big races on the ballot this fall, including the blockbuster match-up between Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs and Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Arizona.
Plus, all 90 seats in the State Legislature are up for a vote, and voters will weigh in on ballot questions that address voter ID, drug cartels and trans athletes.
You don’t need to wait until Election Day to cast your vote in Arizona.
The state offers mail-in voting and in-person early voting beginning Oct. 7.
Here’s what to know if you want to vote early.
How do I vote by mail?
Mail ballots will start going out on Oct. 7 in Arizona. You can request a mail-in ballot until Oct. 23.
When should I mail my ballot back?
If you plan to vote by mail, keep an eye on your mailbox. Make
sure you mail your ballot back at least seven days before Election Day, on Oct. 27, so it arrives in time to be counted.
Can I vote early in person?
You can vote early in person from Oct. 7 to Oct. 30, which is the Friday before Election Day.

What about Election Day?
On Election Day, you can either vote in person or drop off your mail ballot at a voting location.
Arizona has a new option where if you show ID when you hand in your mail ballot, it is counted more quickly.
