Remember when Phoenix Suns team owner Mat Ishbia hit a rainbow jumper over the 7-foot-6 Tacko Fall during the 2026 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Inglewood?
Ishbia will likely never forget it.
"I don’t care how big he is, I can still battle,” a smiling 5-foot-10 Ishbia said after the game. “I battled. Hit the shot over him, but he’s a heck of a player. He’s a monster, he’s big.”
The crowd consistently reacted to their exchanges. After the game, Fall said he took it easy on Ishbia.
“I told him I didn’t do anything against him because I want him to sign me,” a smiling Fall said.

Looks like Fall is taking his talents to the City of Brotherly Love to team up with LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe to resume his NBA career.
The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Jameer Nelson Jr., Saint Thomas and Fall, the team announced Sept. 1.
Fall last played in the NBA in the 2021-22 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 7-footer from Senegal has played 37 career NBA games in three seasons, spending his first two seasons (2019-21) with the Boston Celtics.
He wore No. 99 in the NBA. Fall only averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 6.1 minutes a game, but he was an NBA fan favorite. Crowds went crazy when he checked into games.
Fall has been playing overseas. He averaged 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 18.1 minutes over four seasons with the Ningbo Rockets (2025-26), Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King (2024-25), New Zealand Breakers (2024-25), Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King (2023-24), and Xinjiang Guanghui (2022-23).
