This week’s top 10 rankings remain the same with a lot of teams on fall break, but there is a little bit of shuffling around after the fourth week of the 2026 Arizona high school flag football season. The AIA recently released its first set of rankings, providing a glimpse into where schools stack up at the halfway point.
Here are the updated Republic rankings, as of Oct. 12, 2026.
The Republic's top 10 high school flag football rankings
1. Gilbert Highland (4-0)
Had the week off, but continues to rise nationally. Despite no games, Highland moved up eight spots in the MaxPreps national top 25 to No. 12. Enters as the favorite to win the Fiesta Bowl Copper State Invitational this week.
2. Gilbert Campo Verde (4-2)
Routed Maricopa 68-0. Then traveled to California to play the consensus No. 1-ranked team
in the country, JSerra Catholic, a 44-14 loss. While it’s a tough loss, the experience can be useful, as Campo will not see a better team than JSerra the rest of the season.
3. Chandler Basha (6-0)
Went 2-0, picking up wins against Goodyear Millennium and ranked-Peoria Liberty. The Bears have only given up four touchdowns total this season and Amiah Walker is a steady hand at QB.
4. Glendale Mountain Ridge (4-1)
Had the week off. Only plays once this week, at home against Mesa Red Mountain.
5. Gilbert (4-1)
Played only one game, but picked up a big 20-19 win on the road in California against Channel Islands. Freshman two-way player Brooklyn Travis continues to make a name for herself.
6. Tempe Corona del Sol (5-1)
Had the week off. The AIA has the Aztecs at No. 17 in its first set of rankings, just outside of the playoffs. Corona del Sol has the chance this week to move up, with games against Queen Creek Casteel and Mesa Mountain View.
7. Marana (5-1)
Had the week off. Big upcoming opportunity for Marana with the Copper State Invitational, taking on Campo Verde, Scottsdale Christian Academy and Liberty.
8. Casa Grande (8-0)
Played four games, one regular-season matchup and a tournament. Beat Marana Mountain View 53-0 before cruising in the Pinal 40 Bowl Flag Football Tournament, outscoring teams by a combined score of 64-0.
9. Peoria Liberty (4-2)
Took its first two losses of the season, falling to Pinnacle and Basha. Playing in the Copper State Invitational this week. This is the last week before record-breaking QB Marlie Phillips becomes eligible for the Lions. She should significantly impact the team.
10. Tucson Salpointe Catholic (5-0)
This is a massive week for 4A Salpointe, which will be in the Phoenix area for much of the week and has the chance to prove itself against higher-conference competition at the Copper State Invitational. Plays 6A Red Mountain in a regular-season game before tournament games against 6A Corona del Sol, 6A Anthem Boulder Creek and 6A Gilbert Highland.
On the bubble: Boulder Creek, Hamilton, Pinnacle, O’Connor, Horizon, Queen Creek, Casteel, Prescott, Mesquite, Scottsdale Christian.
