Sunday early NFL game predictions, Sept. 20
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons, 10 a.m. FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Panthers gave up 59 points in their NFL Week 1 loss to the Bears. Bryce Young and company will bounce back in a big way in Atlanta.
Prediction: Panthers 27, Falcons 17
New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Saints impressed in their near-comeback against the Lions, but a win over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Baltimore would really impress us. We don't see it happening.
Prediction: Ravens 30, Saints 20
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
These teams put up a combined 98 points in their Week 1 victories. Caleb Williams and Chicago will outscore the Vikings in this game.
Prediction: Bears 35, Vikings 32
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Texans will get the defensive stops when they need to in this game, unlike in their Week 1 loss to the Bills.
Prediction: Texans 24, Bengals 21
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Patriots have had a long time to prep for this game after their lackluster Week 1 showing on Sept. 9. Drake Maye will look a lot better at home.
Prediction: Patriots 27, Steelers 19
Green Bay Packers at New York Jets, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Packers allowed the Vikings to score 29 consecutive points on them in their Week 1 loss to the Vikings after leading 22-10. That won't happen against the Jets.
Prediction: Packers 23, Jets 20
Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers will bounce back in a big way against the overmatched Browns.
Prediction: Buccaneers 31, Browns 17
Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Cam Ward and the Titans had just 195 total yards in their Week 1 loss to the Jets. We don't see much changing against the Eagles in Week 2.
Prediction: Eagles 28, Titans 13
NFL Week 2 picks: Lions vs Bills | Panthers vs Falcons | Saints vs Ravens | Vikings vs Bears | Bengals vs Texans | Steelers vs Patriots | Packers vs Jets | Browns vs Buccaneers | Eagles vs Titans | Jaguars vs Broncos | Raiders vs Chargers | Seahawks vs Cardinals | Commanders vs Cowboys | Dolphins vs 49ers | Colts vs Chiefs | Giants vs Rams | The Republic's predictions
Sunday late NFL game predictions, Sept. 20
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos, 1:05 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars impressed in Week 1, but its hard to win at Empower Field at Mile High.
Prediction: Broncos 27, Jaguars 24
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers, 1:05 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Chargers won't drop a second straight game as a big favorite to open the season, right? Justin Herbert and company bound back here.
Prediction: Chargers 23, Raiders 20
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Arizona surprised a lot of people with its Week 1 upset of the Chargers. With Sam Darnold out for Seattle, the Cardinals could surprise again at home.
Prediction: Cardinals 24, Seahawks 23
Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
This early-season NFC East clash could have a big impact on the division race. Dak Prescott and Cowboys' offense will come alive at home.
Prediction: Cowboys 38, Commanders 28
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The 49ers really impressed in their Week 1 win in Australia. The Dolphins are the perfect opponent for Brock Purdy and company to get back in the swing of things at home.
Prediction: 49ers 30, Dolphins 16
NFL Week 2 odds: Lions vs Bills | Panthers vs Falcons | Saints vs Ravens | Vikings vs Bears | Bengals vs Texans | Steelers vs Patriots | Packers vs Jets | Browns vs Buccaneers | Eagles vs Titans | Jaguars vs Broncos | Raiders vs Chargers | Seahawks vs Cardinals | Commanders vs Cowboys | Dolphins vs 49ers | Colts vs Chiefs | Giants vs Rams | Betting lines, spreads
Sunday Night Football prediction, Sept. 20
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs, 5:20 p.m., NBC (stream with Peacock)
The Chiefs will be on a short week for this game after playing on Monday Night Football in NFL Week 1. It won't matter.
Prediction: Chiefs 27, Colts 20
