Big 12 football Week 9 prediction: Friday, Oct. 30
Baylor at UCF, 4:30 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
Baylor was favored in early odds for this game, which doesn't make sense to us. The Bears just fired their coach and are on the road. UCF is coming off a huge upset of BYU.
The Knights will stay hot.
Prediction: UCF 28, Baylor 24
Big 12 football Week 9 predictions: Saturday, Oct. 31
Arizona at Texas Tech, 9 a.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
Noah Fifita and the Wildcats continue to impress, but it would really impress us if they were able to go into Lubbock and defeat the Red Raiders, who are coming off an embarrassing loss to Cincinnati. Will Hammond and Texas Tech bounce back.
Prediction: Texas Tech 30, Arizona 27
Kansas State at Colorado, 11 a.m., TNT (stream with Sling)
Will Avery Johnson be back for this game? It might not even matter. The Wildcats will bounce back from their loss against Arizona State with a win on the road in Boulder.
Prediction: Kansas State 27, Colorado 20
Arizona State at BYU, 12:30 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
We would have liked ASU's chances of pulling off an upset a little more if BYU hadn't lost to UCF. The Cougars can't afford another loss, and they won't get one here as Bear Bachmeier and BYU get back on track in Provo, Utah.
Prediction: BYU 30, Arizona State 20
Kansas at TCU, 12:30 p.m., FS1 (stream with FUBO)
Both of these teams are 1-3 in Big 12 play and 3-4 overall. Kansas is coming off an upset win over Baylor. The Jayhawks can pull off another upset here.
Prediction: Kansas 24, TCU 23
Utah at Cincinnati, 12:45 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
The Bearcats impressed in their win over Texas Tech last week. Can they pull off a second straight upset of an undefeated team? Devon Dampier will make a big play late to prevent it. The Utes will escape Cincinnati still undefeated.
Prediction: Utah 31, Cincinnati 24
Oklahoma State at Iowa State, 4 p.m., FS1 (stream with FUBO)
The Cowboys are still in the thick of the Big 12 Conference race at 3-1, tied with three other teams for second in the conference. Eric Morris will lead Oklahoma State to another win.
Prediction: Oklahoma State 38, Iowa State 20
