If you see thousands of protesters this Saturday, they're reminding you to get out and vote this year. In Arizona, dozens of protests were scheduled, including events in Phoenix, Tucson, Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, Flagstaff and other communities.
It's all part of the “No Kings” protest, a movement organized around opposition to what its organizers characterize as excessive or authoritarian use of presidential power by Trump. Organizers describe the demonstrations as nonviolent.
Now, another nationwide No Kings Day of Action is coming up. Organizers say the event will also encourage people to participate in early voting, making the date especially significant.
Here’s all to know about No Kings and what city in Arizona will participate
When is the next No Kings protest 2026?
The
next nationwide No Kings mobilization is Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, running from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This one is being called “No Kings: Vote Early.” It will be somewhat different from past demonstrations since organizers say the emphasis will be on getting people to vote early, making voting plans and election-protection efforts, while local communities can still hold rallies, marches, visibility events, block parties, walks to the polls, canvassing and other gatherings.
The organizers describe the Oct. 17 events as nonpartisan voter-participation activities intended to encourage eligible voters to participate, rather than simply another nationwide protest.
