Marvin Harrison Jr. does not want to disclose the factors behind his lack of production during his Arizona Cardinals tenure.
"I think it's just a combination of everything," Harrison said to the media on Wednesday, Oct. 14. "I don't think I can pinpoint one thing. There's a lot of factors, and I think with any situation, you always want to take accountability for yourself.
"I think those things I'll keep to myself, truthfully."
Harrison played for the Cardinals from the 2024 season through the first four weeks of the 2026 season. The Cardinals' No. 4 overall draft selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, Harrison played 33 games in Arizona and caught 108 passes. He recorded 1,578 receiving yards and 13 touchdown catches.
Traded to the Houston Texans following
his underachieving play through four games in 2026, he is set to play his first game with them on Oct. 18, against the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1) in London for Week 6. Harrison reunites with Texans starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, who was his starting quarterback at Ohio State from 2021-2022.
"I think the team as a whole it's a great situation for me," Harrison said of the Texans. "Being with a quarterback that you have rapport with and had success with in the past is always great too."
Harrison did not have success with Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett. In 11 games with the veteran signal-caller starting at quarterback and Harrison out wide, the two connected 26 times for 387 yards and three touchdowns.
During Harrison's sophomore season at Ohio State with Stroud as his starting QB, he was a consensus All-American, going for 1,263 receiving yards and 14 touchdown receptions.
Both the Cardinals and Texans sit at 1-4 to start the 2026 season.
