JUPITER — Emergency crews in Jupiter have closed both directions of Indiantown Road from Interstate 95 to Maplewood Drive due to a gas leak.
Jupiter police and fire crews responded at about 10:30 a.m. to a reported leak just east of Island Way and closed the westbound lanes of Indiantown. The eastbound lanes were closed at about 2 p.m.
It is not clear how long the road closure will last, town spokesperson Shawn Reed said. The source of the gas leak also was not immediately clear.
Westbound traffic is being diverted at Maplewood Drive and eastbound traffic is being diverted onto southbound Interstate 95. Cars wishing to travel west to Jupiter Farms should take Interstate 95 north from Donald Ross Road and exit onto westbound Indiantown Road.
Cars
traveling east on Indiantown Road from Jupiter Farms will be diverted to southbound I-95 and can exit at Donald Ross Road.
