MIAMI GARDENS ― Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley has named six captains for his first NFL season.

They are:

RB De'Von Achane: 4th season, 24 years old

C Aaron Brewer: 7th season, 28 years old

LB Jordyn Brooks: 7th season, 28 years old

OT Patrick Paul: 3rd season, 24 years old

DT Zach Sieler: 9th season, 30 years old

QB Malik Willis: 5th season, 27 years old

The Dolphins rewarded Achane, Brewer and Brooks with contract extensions this offseason.

Willis has emerged as a leader in his first season as the franchise quarterback.

The Dolphins did not name a captain from their very young defensive backs room.

Second-year safety Dante Trader is the leader of that group, with our without title.
