Months after featuring Wok by the Beach on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," Guy Fieri returned to the Riviera Beach restaurant for dinner on Sept. 9, according to owner Kritsada Limpanuwat.
The visit gave Limpanuwat an opportunity he said he hadn't previously had: a chance to personally thank Fieri for showcasing his restaurant on national television.
Fieri featured Wok by the Beach during the most recent season of "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives," making it his final Palm Beach County stop of the season in June.
The episode brought fresh attention to the restaurant, a local favorite known for its sushi, Thai cuisine and loyal following.
Limpanuwat said Fieri had visited before filming the show and returned again last week, well after
production wrapped and the episode aired.
Fieri, who owns a home on nearby Singer Island, is a familiar face in Palm Beach County's dining scene.
But for Wok by the Beach, this visit was less about celebrity and more about appreciation.
A bouquet of flowers and a few photos marked a simple thank-you from one local restaurateur to a much-loved television star whose visit helped introduce the restaurant to a nationwide audience.
