Watch out for Amendment 3's fine print
Regarding the recent letter, "Don't cripple Amendment 3 with fear tactics:" Really? Fear tactics? Let's take a look back to 1999 when Palm Beach County voters were encouraged to vote for a $150 million bond referendum to establish the Ag Reserve west of Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. We were promised that the region would be kept mostly rural, maintain farm jobs and buffer the Everglades. I wonder what the fine print was in the referendum that allowed over 5,000 homes to be built in the "Ag Reserve?" Barely a farm in sight. Every voter should be terrified by the hidden agenda that must be in Amendment 3. I am. And I am voting "no."

Pay attention to the nation's debt
In less than two years the U.S. debt has increased $3.8 trillion, or 10%.
It is now $40 trillion. This is putting many Americans in GREAT debt, all except the billionaires who prospered from the One Big Beautiful Bill's outlandish tax cuts to the already wealthy.

Where's the 'Arab genocide' outrage?
Oxfam and others call the Gaza conflict the "deadliest conflict of the 21st century." Sadly it's very far from true. The following conflicts of Arab-on-Arab genocide clearly dispels this widely circulated lie. All happened in this century. In Syria, Syrian Arabs killed 610,000 of their own in their civil war. Iraqi Arabs killed 280,000 of their own in the insurgencies. In Darfur, Arabs killed 300,000 of their own in their conflict, and in Yemen, 150,000 Arabs were killed and 227,000 died from their ongoing famine caused by their war. Oh and let's not forget Iran which killed at least 30,000 of their fellow Muslim citizens who were peacefully protesting their government's policies. Why the silence? Is it that Arab-on-Arab violence is not newsworthy, or is it because Israel is not part of the story?

How much more can Trump rename?
How is it that this current president believes it is his right to rename anything he wants in his honor? Who gives permission for this and aren’t most national icons renamed by Congress after the honoree’s passing? So currently, according to President Trump, if the Kennedy Center does not include his name and is not rebuilt, it will be torn down, despite no evidence of safety issues? And let’s continue to anger Canada and rename Lake Ontario? How soon and what will it take to rename Palm Beach International Airport?

There's no free lunch, or Medicare
"Medicare For All" ― Free health care for every man, woman and child in the U.S. would double the number of folks seeking doctor and hospital care. The problem with that ratio is that we will not have double the doctors, nor double the hospitals. Along with that, we will not have double the X-ray or even the blood technicians needed for diagnosis and treatment. Looking at any other socialized country, free medical appointments are far, far in the future, and those of senior citizens age usually get the last call. Nothing is free, and medical care always needs someone to pay for it. Besides, those smart enough to study medicine will be smart enough to find a more lucrative source of income.
