Adding
injury to insult, one of the few bright spots for the 2026 Miami Dolphins was injured during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Rookie receiver Caleb Douglas suffered an ankle injury with 7:50 left in the game when a 49ers player rolled over him as he was trying to block on a reception by tight end Greg Dulcich. Douglas, who had two catches for 19 yards, was seen limping on the sideline and did not return on Miami's next possession.
Douglas was Miami's leading receiver in last week's loss to the Raiders with five catches for 94 yards.
